Definitely late 20's and early 30's. I have a GF who loves that era and dresses in seamed stockings and garter belts all the time. She has dark hair, and no diamonds but I love the rest of the look.

Wow, that's hard to say, since my style changes so much from day to day. If you're talking USA in modern times, I'd want to say the late 60's/early 70's, but I already lived through them and they didn't seem THAT different, except for the politics (believe it or not, I was on the campaign trail in 1972, as a 7-year-old). I'd sure get excited about Star Trek and the space program all over again though, and since I'm all grown up now, I wouldn't have to fight with my father over whether to watch Star Trek or the Watergate trials...

Sounds like the 20's of 30's. Stockings and garters are still a great look though, I wear them all the time.

I love the look of the 40's! The ladies were so classy with fun hair styles and very simple make up that wasn't so over top but still had some on. Pokadots, contrasting colors like black and white, blue and grey ... love it! I don't do dresses but I like playing around with colors, hair styles, jewelry, so on. I couldn't give up slacks of the modern day woman but hey, it's all gravy!

A child of the 70's, I would have loved to have been at Woodstock. I always called myself a "flower child" at home (i am 38 now) and one day I was sooo happy because my ultra-conservative father walked through the house and agreed!!! Then as he got passed me he said "yep, you're my little bloomin' idiot!!" Killed me then, funny now!!!

WHOA! I'm the exact opposite of you. I would be in the Pioneer Days, living in a log cabin, sewing my own clothes, cooking on a wood stove, etc.
