I've been seeing this guy steadily for two months now. We're not dating, but I feel like we've spent enough time together that Valentine's Day might be in the question, but I have no idea what to do. I kind of want to do something simple that shows I care, nothing over the top. I'm just not very creative. Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to scare the guy. We're still in the getting to know each other phase.

I think it's great that your even thinking of giving a lil token of your friendship or putting in a bit of effort to show the guy you care, so good on you first of all.

If your after something small you could just get him a t shirt and a keyring of his fav band or a brand name one. You can never go wrong with CD's or DVD's or if he has a playstation or X box you could just get him a game for it.

If you stick to something along those lines, it won't come across as being all romantic so Im sure any guy would appreciate something like that and not get scared off at all.

If you were planning on buying a card, try to get one that's humerous rather than romantic. Guys like funny cards.

Oh, and another really good idea is chocolates. Guys love chocolates!

Good luck.

OK very cheesy but I did it for my guy at the time and he was 27 and absolutely loved it. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a cheap valentine scrap book kit with lots of stickers and little love trinkets ($4.00), in the craft section there are little wooden boxes with cute little buckles to close it ($2.00 or less), then I got glitter glue pens to decorate the box ($4.00).

I decorated the box with the pens ( I wrote our initials on the top and a heart with a arrow through it) then cut little pieces of paper with messages about the things we have shared and cute messages about the things I love about him etc, and sealed each one with the stickers from the scrap book. I wrapped it in a little box, then got a bigger box and wrapped it in there then I took a big box and filled it with tissue paper that was sprayed with the perfume he loves the best on me then wrapped it!

I think it's just enough of what you need, not expensive at all and very thoughtful. I hope I gave you a good idea.... you can always add this gift with something else if you want to give more. There's not even a card necessary for this gift!

I think a sweet card and a nice Coffee mug will do the wonder. It will show that you care as well as not that you are having a crush or something. Best of luck......................
