Depends on the quality of the muffler AND the number of mufflers you have AND if you need a catalytic converter too.

A good set of mufflers in CA.. for an 8 cylinder 350 with the converter somehow forgotten will run you about $200 to $250 and have your car idling with a nice deep throb.

Yours should run you about $75 to $100 installed plus any disposal fees your state may impose.

relies upon on what form of vehicle it somewhat is. you could desire to get a low value muffler put in on maximum American autos for in basic terms $60. My Benz is plenty extra. I had an previous Datsun Z that value in simple terms approximately $500 to change the finished exhaust equipment. do no longer play around with it, although. Carbon monoxide poisoning isn't any relaxing.

Your muffler is probably fine...sounds like you knocked off the tip...exhaust tips are pretty cheap....$10 to $40....plain to fancy and they just have a screw that holds them onto the pipe...
look under your car...carefully, with the parking brake on!...you have a pipe that runs from your engine to the catalytic converter...a pipe goes from that to your muffler...and past your muffler is a pipe that runs out the back of your car...

For the muffler and clamps (you'll probably need two) shouldn't run you any higher than $135 including tax and it's easy to do yourself (saving you the cost of instalation approx another $50-90).

i dont know how old you are but if you a teen or something
i think cars sound way better without mufflers on them
but if you need it changed because you dont like the louder sound
it would run you from 50 to about 150$ depending on what kind of muffler you want to install
