My doctor said that the first 3 to 6 months while your body is first adjusting to the pill you could get pregnant, so use a back-up method just to be safe.

Usually they tell you a month, but some of the newer pills its only 2 weeks.

Do you mean birth control pills??? They take 7 days to be effective.

Pills usually take one full cycle to be effective.

no matter what use a condom if you don't want a kid because the pill isn't 100% effective and she could still get preggo
