I am using an anit spyware program called xoftspy se. I scan 10 times a day and it never ceases to find new spyware on my computer..whats up with this?

Ditch it and get something better.
Good software looks at everything that comes in and quarantines and notifies you if there is something sus.
I use CounterSpy which does this extremely effectively so I never have to scan my computer.

Couple of possibilities.
1. Your anti-spyware is actually a program that only removes spyware, doesn't protect your system from getting it.
2. You have installed software that you gave permission to install the spyware, and even though your anti-spyware is detecting, it won't prevent it from installing cause you gave it permission above and beyond.
I suggest using adaware or MS Defender. Not all anti-spyware will detect and remove all spyware. It is only as good as the detection updates.

I checked the antispyware comparison page (1) but could not find xsoftspy listed on the list of the best anti spyware softwares.Download ,install and run Spybot - Search & Destroy as it can detect and remove a multitude of adware files and modules from your computer.(2)

Try this program from pc tools > www.pctools.com
Spyware Doctor. Its a very nice and easy program to use. You might also try windows defender from Msn.com
The program itself could be attracting new spies.

there are so many type of spyware. many are really harmless,.
2 03 times a week probably is OK, doing this 10x daily will make you PC so slow that you spent more time trying to fight spy then doing real work
It is like shooting your arms 10 x a day with flu shots...

There are many people out there who don’t have a life and who get their jollies by making life miserable for the rest of us.
While you are internet surfing, they are putting their calling cards on your PC.
Be careful where you go, do not give out any personal information unless you are sure of the contact, disable autocomplete in Content, Internet Explorer, clear cookies, delete temporary internet files …

your anti spypware is simply a scanner and does not offer real time internet protection. try SPYWARE NUKER XT or SPYWARE DOCTOR
