After spending time on the Strip and in the Casinos, go out and either rent a car and drive about an hour north to the Valley of Fire State Park or take a 1/2 day tour from one of the tour companies. As newlyweds, you will appreciate the beautiful scenery - many even get married on site. It is gorgeous and really unique. You will find rocks with arches, beautiful breathtaking views and you will be back in time for an afternoon nap before hitting Las Vegas nightlife. Here are some sites that depict some pictures of the place but it doesn't do it justice. Now is the perfect time to go since almost every other season it is way too hot (it is a desert after all).
