I need an original BRITISH name that I can use in a MEDIEVAL Great Britain story.

When I write I often use baby name websites to come up with character names. If you want a name specific to a culture, go to http://www.babycenter.com/babynames to pick a character name, because the search paradigm on that site can search names by ethnic origin.

Also, don't be afraid to use names from cultures related to your target culture. British society is very syncretic, so names from German, French, and various Celtic languages would be appropriate in such a story. Don't put such strict limits on yourself that you squeeze yourself out of writing the best possible story you can.
