I'm not sure what you mean by VCS. Video Console System? Maybe it was a typo for VCR's?

The VHS tape VCR's came out in September of 1976 although the first VCR's came out 20 years earlier in 1956. They used a completely different 2" tape format and at $50,000 (in 1956 money!) were too expensive for any home user to afford.

Modern cellular phones came out in 1983. This is the analog AMPS 800MHz cell phone system. Before that was IMTS car phones which ran on VHF with high power, like 100 watts. Before that was MTS. Originally when MTS came out in 1946, there were only 3 channels so only 3 people in an entire city could make a call at one time! The equipment weighed 80 pounds and all calls were dialed/connected by a mobile operator.

By Microwaves, I'm assuming you mean microwave ovens. The first microwave oven was built in 1947. It was 6 feet tall and weighed 750 pounds! Home wall units were out by 1955 but at a cost of $1,295 (a new car in 1955 cost $1,900!) it wasn't a popular seller.
