I posted a question a while ago about Oback Barama and the question posted last week by Yahoo. I was pleasantly suprised by the answers but the best I received was from Crabby..... and he says racism is not dying in our fair country, I disagree, I think it is dying but certainly not dead. and Crabby if you're listening I stand corrected his father was Kenyan not Nigerian, but as any good Redneck knows Kenyan or Nigerain or South African that's no different than being from New York or Alabama.

Racism is much worse in the North than the South. We have learned to respect each other in the south. The best way to get rid of racism is to look beyond Jesse Jackson et. al. All our people should strive to achieve not just survive, not live on what we are owed by society. Those that strive, do succeed. Just saw the movie In Pursuit of Happyness. A wonderful example of overcoming the odds.

No it's just changing. It's a well know fact in many areas of the US that the most racist people of all, are black males. Although it seems as if it is okay for them to behave this way. Oh and there is not such thing as white guilt. Were just sick and tired of hearing all the boo hoo sob stories about things that most of us had nothing to do with. My parents generation spent billions (still being paid by my tax dollars) trying to make a group of people happy and what do you get. Another open hand begging for more.
If there is gonna be an end to racism. People need to buck up and act as if they want to be a part of the civil culture they live in. As long as they chose to live up to the sterotype. Theres gonna be a racist to hate them.

It's hard to acknowledge, since so many african americans are doing well (Condi, Colin Powell, Michael Jordan, Snoop Dog)

But of course Racism is alive and well in the US! Try being black and hailing a taxi in New York City. And don't let's get started about Racism in georgia, kentucky, mississippi, etc.

Its probably still prevalent in the South, but in the North I think the pendulum has swung the other way, in which there is white "guilt" where white people feel guilty and "natural affirmative action" takes place, in which blacks are treated better.

Racism won't die until people identify the only proper way to judge someone. And that is as an individual, that is, their values.

That won't happen until people can morally assure themselves. And not religiously, but objectively.

It is not dead or dying. It is like a cancer that has been in remission for awhile and now it is back with a vengeance. It will kill us all with its deadly poison if we don't learn how to accept each other.

Naah, it's just becoming tactical, or well hidden.

Him being black lifts other democrats spirits because him possibly being the first black president might just get those liberals in the ghetto out on election day.
