Sex is something you need to want children - plain and simple.....

Thinking about Maslow and his hierarchy of needs, I would have to say a need. I think we need sex and sexual expression to fully explore who we are as human beings. Some think that suppressing the sex drive leads to clarifying strengths in other areas. I think that can be true, but I also really believe that it is a need built into every human being. Otherwise, the suppression of the sex drive wouldn't be such a big deal.

I think it's both. I think it is a basic human instinct that we were created with to carry on the human race; but, on top of that, people like it because it feels good (I wouldn't know, but I'm assuming most people like it!) :D
So really, I think the question is not whether it is a want OR a need, but how MUCH is it a want in comparison to a need?

Both. It's a proven fact that men can avoid prostrate cancer by having regular sex and for women, orgasms make a woman healthier....not sure why.....but I'll buy it!
