I have a big test tomorrow, and one of the samller things listed that will be on it is net ionic equations and total ionic equations.
Can anyone explain these to me? I looked them up in the textbook and I still don't understand

The net ionic equation just shows the ions of the equation that form a product.

The total ionic equation, on the other hand, shows all ions in the reaction, whether they form a product or not.


Try googling those terms, there's actually a lot of sites out there that have chemistry help. I use them alot to do my chem homework.
