It is a mazing to me that at this age I still get some of the same reactions? I am 35years old. I was adopted 3 days out of the hospital. Regular life as it could be. Infact, if my parents never told me I was adopted, I probably wouldn't have known or felt any difference. I guess people don't feel sorry, but it seems to change the way people look at me? Any insight.

Some people are just shallow, don't let it get to you, hon. For some reason they think that being adopted means you were rejected by the birth parent and must have had a terrible childhood even if that isn't the case. What really matters is that you had a great set of parents who gave you the right amount of love and was there for you.

People feel for you because someone gave you up. People need to get over it. Being biological parent means nothing. Parent is a person responsible for a child. A person who takes pride and joy taking care of a child. If biological parents cannot perform the job, they should not parent to begin with.

They have the problem, not you. You have two parents that really wanted you and were able to give you what your biological parents were unable to. Not because they didn't love you necessarily, but felt they were doing the right thing morally and financially.
I would look at myself as a blessing to your adopted parents.
Live life and be happy!

everybody is basically uncomfortable with something that they have got no adventure with. As such they are probable questioning oh gosh have been you taken away out of your mom and dad, deserted, did they die etc. for this reason they walk on egg shells because of the fact they do no longer possibly be attentive to what to declare and are apprehensive approximately what might offend you. For me individually i ought to care much less if somebody is accompanied, blood does no longer make fmaily or mom and dad. Its approximately people who're there for you and assist you the whole existence those are genuine mom and dad.

if you dont like how it causes people to look at you, i wouldnt tell them. if you are proud of your adoption, or comfortable with it, then maybe you should elaborate upon your feelings to them, so they know that its cool with you and that you do not feel bad or anything. i dont really think age will ever change the way people look at you if youa re adopted. but in a sense, it is your duty to make sure they know that you are not upset or anything because of it. if anything else, just ignore them. or... pretend to be really emotional about it just to make them leave you alone.

Tell them they are prejudice and don't even know how great your adopted parents are. People like to put other's lives in concepts, molds and labels. Tell them: "Oh, no I'm not sorry, I don't fit your label."

I guess they assume that you didn't have the great life that you did. Tell them, you don't have to feel sorry for me, I had a great life growing up.

well, sometimes it is better not to let people know that you are adopted.... then nobody will feel sorry to you... or may be you just have to state that you are okay with your situation..
