I know that you can take pills for cramps and such, but do they work on the mood swings? I get some real bad ones and I hate the way it makes me feel. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

As I was slowly creeping toward menopause, I used to get terrible mood swings, I mean, I was really crazy. So I went to a health food store to see what they suggested, and they said "Est-Aid." It worked fantastic. Every month. That was back in about '99 , so I'm not sure they still make it. (I don't see why not.) But if not, I'm sure they can recommend something else. The people who work in those stores are very knowledgeable. Good luck!

My sister gets these REALLY bad mood swings on her period like ones where she wants to kill people and so she went to the doctor and they gave her anti-depressants for it.
