I know, but the majority of the world believes there is a greater being, when really there isn't. Sorta pointless if you ask me, but that is just one persons opinion. Don't have to agree with me :-)

Well because there were slavery....
And Harriet Tubman read Moses and if she didn't
read the Bible where will Black people be today?

And look at Martin Luther King Jr... he would not be a preacher..
and where will Black people be today?

And why we had Slavery in the first place, long time ago?

Why everybody doing what Jesus did? If they didn't do what
Jesus did, then we would not have Red Cross, Salvation Army,
and donate charity to the sick and poor people....

We wouldn't have Mother Theresa...

We would have to follow many Kings and Queens...

I believe in God because I don't know why I exist.

There is no real proof that he doesnt exist either.

I'm not advocating one way or the other.

"The more science reveals about the world, the more it seems pointless"

Religion originally came about to explain the world around us. Because as humans, we fear the unknown. We need reason for what we see, for what we are, and what we experience. What were the first religions? Who were the gods? The sun, the moon, the stars. Ancient people used religion to explain what things in nature was. It was a way to find some answers in our lives, so the world seemed less scary.

Now science has proven that the sun isn't a god, but it's actually a big ball of gas thats burning up and letting of radiation. You can have science explain everything we see in nature, but in the end, nothing we discover can prove the existence of God OR disprove the existence of God either.

Whether you believe in a religion or science, they are both the same things--- we are just trying to find some comfort in our lives.

Yes, there has to be. Let me give you an example:
6 year old kid, been in the water at least 8 minutes; we pull him out, no heartbeat, no pulse, no breathing, lips are blue, blue, blue. We start cpr, having to shock him the whole nine yards. Continue cpr and by time we get to hospital, he has been down for about 28 minutes. We along with the dr. and staff keep working him, after 48 minutes, he comes back. He is now a healthy and thriving little boy, no brain damage.
There is no doubt, ONLY God could have done that.

Depends how god is defined. I dont think ne one knos what god really is. U can feel a spritaul connection with 'god' and the universe with a psycheldeic trip, the feeling is unexplainable, kinda like a oneness with all life and the universe

I have seen many evil. And I have seen miracles with prayer. People have been heal. I knew this kid who was dying of cancer. A few of the pastor from my church, including my dad went and prayed for this boy. A few days later the doctors were amazed that the cancer was gone. If you don't believe, just wait till the end.

If God was not real I would still learn the good morals of his message/story. Live as a good person..etc.

Usually a belief can lead to happiness. All about belief my friend.

Most ppl believe in God because they feel his presence in some way or another. The power of belief is very strong and not always rational.

I believe in God because I know that I am not the highest power in my life. I believe in him because when I talk he listens and when I pray he answers. I believe because there is nothing in my life that I can't handle either alone or with my families and God will only give us what we are capable of handling. The question you are asking will only give you opinions. You need to decide what you believe (by feeling) and why.

I believe in God because none of this we have would be here without Him! Without Him I am nothing and neither are you! I have faith in God and He has worked miracles in my life so all praise and glory goes to Him. I hope someday you open your heart and let Him in! It will be the wisest decision of your life if you do. Take care.

There is no proof and I acknowledge that. I choose to believe in God because it gives my life purpose which gives me happiness. If it turns out there is no God, who cares? I lived a happy life.
