Isn't an Indian film nominated for best foreign film this year?

Indian movies are not in the oscar because almost all the Indian movies have the same theme with singing and dancing and corny love scenes.
who wants to watch that let alone nominate it for an Oscar.

Just like we have the Filmfare awards and so many others just for Indian films, the Americans have the Oscars only for American(U.S.) films which also has an award for foreign category.
Indian movies have too much of melodrama in them to the extent it becomes boring. Hence no Oscar for us.

For Film maker, the prizes is that when the film get good response from the public for which they make the film and it is the big award then oscar. Gabbar singh not recevied the award, Gadar, lage raho munna bhai and many others.
Oscar is for only ANGREJ not for others.
Indian movie have 5 to 6 songs, 3 hr film and ANGREJ KE PASS ITNA TIME NAHIN HEY KI WO HINDI FILM DEKH SAKE AUR GANE SUN SAKE.

Water, an Indian film, is nominated for Best Foreign Film this year. I believe the winnder of the Foreign Film category can be nominated the following year for Best Film.

BTW - Water is an excellent film and my choice for the winner this year.

using fact the Oscar committee do in comparison to songs in movies even nonetheless it can't ensue in Indian video clips. besides the size of Indian movies it is two to 3 hours, committee cant sit down for this variety of long term(Joking) yet actual they like innovations(Kolkata RLD,Gandhi-8 Oscars, Slumdog-besides director, all are indians!)

In order to get noticed by the AMPAS and subsequently considered worthy as one of Oscar's best foreign film nomination, a (foreign) film should have garnered enough buzz, i.e by screened the said film in as many as international film festivals as possible. Hence, promotion is the key. And it doesn't come cheap.

Indian movies are being made with an leaning towards indian audience only. indian sentiments do not match to that of other societies.

Oscar is an award given by americans to the americans. We are no way concerned. Only one Oscar which is meant for foreign movies is taken european or american countries. Name one american actor who got Dada Saheb Palke Award?

why because almost all indian movies have the same theme of love and we don't find much variety in our films. moreover don't use the technology as good as those people use it.I hope this might be also a reason for it
