ok well what I did was reset my whole system for this but it will take wiping your memory (which you may not want to do but if you have the program files you can do this which will immediately clear up your default user name and password- don't do this unless you get desperate) if you can't look in your owners manual for a universal user name and password, it could be the password to get onto your router, or you can reset your router and see what happens....sometimes I just like to push a whole bunch of buttons....... omg.... I really need a life.

Read your manual, what is the default username and password?
If they don't work, then you have already entered something else in there. On the back of most routers is a small hole and directly above that hole it says reset.
Put a pen in there and hold it in until the router lights turn off, blink and come back on. Your default password and username will work.

if this is a linksys, i just had this issue.

if you have a problem like this you can reset your router, but it will reset all of you changes to the default.

push the reset button for at least 15 seconds or more. this is very important. I kept resetting mine for a few seconds and it didn't work. I had to hold the button for 15 secs or more.

if it is linksys it's no username and the password is admin

bypass into Firewall settings on your Router, enter the close by IP of the pc the port is being forwarded to, enter the port selection 20-21 for FTP; 22-22 for SSH, etc. Then go with TCP or UDP or the two for the type. Then click save. you will could understand the IP handle of your router to get in, it is going to probable be on the backside of the router and seem something like 192.168.0.a million, then use the username Admin, and passowrd "password" to log in.

try Admin and 1234 as the password. Depends on your router.
