Did anyone see that last nite--Dr. House actually was a wee bit sensitive!! I really didn't get the whole scenario with the girl (he's the last person I'd want to talk to after a rape), but it did seem to give him a bit of "heart", tho I'm sure it won't last, actually I hope it doesn't last!! I like that old nasty "everybody lies" guy!!

Im still trying to figure out Chase--he's got some problems--every episode with a morbidly obese person he gets an attitude--makes me wonder about him. Ahh I get way to caught up in this TV show!!!

Remember how the girl told him she knew he was lying about his grandma being the one to put him in the ice tubs? The girl told him that he would not still be calling the grandma by the affectionate Dutch word for grandma, after such acts had been performed?
Well, when House admitted that it was his father that did it, not the Grandma, THEN I truly believed his story, because he does not call his dad, "dad" ----he calls him by his military rank---I can't remember the rank,,,,,,but I'm sure House called him "Colonel, or General" or the like.
HERE's the first real clue into his dad's abuse, and a clue into House's head..........and heart.........

Just because you give the tin man a tribute doesn't mean he has a heart. It just means he appears to be ticking like he has a heart. Forget to wind his watch and the illusion fails to be convincing anymore.
House tells you he was stuvk in that room and that was that. Next room comes and he will be back the way he was, still picking on others and popping vicodin to mask his pain.

It was an excellent episode, one of the best. You're right though - I'd hate for House to lose that nasty edge.

By the way, has anyone else noticed that Chase is becoming an awful lot like House?

Yeah his sarcasm wasn't as sharp as ususal. I wouldn't want to talk to him either. He hasn't shaved in weeks and looks like a scruff dog and he's a mean bstd. I do like the show though . He could ease up a bit but he wouldn't be the same would he?

He was just acting like that to get the girl to talk. I love house the way he is. And I agree I hope his heart doesnt get any bigger haha

Yes! I was like "what's going on with him?" He actually listened and conversated with someone without cracking a joke. It's almost like when he returned from when he got shot, he dressed differently and was cooperative with everyone. I like the sarcastic and hard-to-come-by House.

Actually I agree with you that I hope he goes back to his old sarcastic and sadistic self but I think episodes like this are important to give his character a little more dimension and to peel a little bit of his hard shell back to see whats really behind how he behaves and even his addict personality.
