I, seriously can not stand them at all !!
They (the producers) create a situation that couldn't be any farther from reality if it had a ticket to Pluto and then CALL it a reality thing !! What a freaking farce !!!

Some are ok, but i think TV's going overboard with them. There are too many reality shows. Most don't even make it to a second season so I think they shouldn't keep trying. American Idol, Survivor, Dancing With The Stars, etc are about the most successful ones. Nothing is going to top them so producers need to stop trying and just put their focus into the "hot" ones and develop them more.

Some are good, but some are really stupid. Like "beauty and the geek" on the CW. That is the worst reality show I have ever seen ... it's pointless lol. I used to like Survivor but it got boring after the third season. American Idol, The Apprentice and The Amazing Race are the only ones I watch.

Reality television is a blight on a medium that was not really great to begin with.
There are some very good shows, one or two great ones, and this week they're all showing repeats - excuse me, 'encore performances'. Why? Because of 'American Idol', the worst of the worst of - ah, you get the idea..

It's not real reality if there is a camera in front of you. There are rules to be taken into consideration, like profanity and maturity. In real reality, you would have to check yourself or be careful of what you do for the sake of the audience or others. In reality, you can die, runaway, steal, have privacy, right?

There aren't many that I watch, but I don't agree with the people who dismiss them categorically as a curse. TV has always been a cesspool. Really, every medium--television, movies, novels, short fiction, poetry, painting, theatre, whatever--most of what's out there is going to be crap, surrounding a small percentage that's worth the time. For me, that would be _Amish in the City_ and _Thirty Days,_ There are others I've enjoyed, but they've mostly been guilty pleasures.

I think in a sense they are useful because many times we can relate to the problems others are having but at the same time too many people make it there idol and therefore have to act like or do things many of the people on these shows do.

I enjoy watching some of them... "Idol", Top Chef, and sometimes Survivor and The Amazing Race. However, I don't revolve my life around them, like some friends of mine. I like to DVR them and if I get a chance to watch them I do, if not no biggie.....
