how come every time i play teken dark resurrection I'm in the player 2 outfit?

i think the kick buttons select player 2's costume, and the punch buttons select player 1s costume.

I think that it is based on what button you press when selecting the character. I know for other Tekken games, Triangle selected one character model, and another button, I think it may have been X, selected the other character model. Try pressing a different button to select your character, and you should be able to change the outfit.
