He's a mad scientist in the kitchen. He's very creative and he is willing to take risks. Ilan is definitely a good chef, but I think Marcel should have won the title. Who's with me?

In terms of being a chef (Chief) in running a kitchen Ilan is more capable... so I can see how Ilan won.

However, in terms of cooking and being a decent human being, I think Marcel should have won.

Both know how to cook since they made the finale, but it's obvious that Marcel has more creativity and has more flexibility with the food while Ilan fell back on his Spanish style cooking background.

In terms of being a human being, Marcel is annoying, but Ilan seems like a weasel.

1. Ilan is an instigator. He gets stuff going, but them blends into the background when called to the carpet. For example, the finale part 1, Ilan chided Elia into speaking up, implying he was with her, but when the judges asked for more info. Ilan left Elia hanging.

2. Ilan was pretty good at getting people on his side. He even got Elia onto his side at the end. He's a good schmoozer and bs'er.

3. I wouldn't be surprised if Ilan was the one sabotaging everyone else, but since Marcel was the "buzzing fly" around people. Marcel was the easy one to get the blame. Not poor, innocent, friendly Ilan.

Ilan would make a great used car salesman.

okay marcel may be a mad scientist in the kitchen but he wasn't that experienced in cooking his finale dish, but he did take a risk because he had never cooked anything like that before. Ilan was more experienced and is a good chef. they both have their own styles but i seriously think that Sam should have been competing against Ilan because they have both won the most quickfire and elimination challenges. marcel talks a lot of trash and he plays dirty he turned off Elia's stove top burner and he kinda cheated his way to the final four. Sorry but I am not with you because I think either Sam or Ilan should win and Ilan won so Marcel should just go cry over his foams and get over it. Marcel is too dramatic. Ilan probably shouldn't have said that he cooks with his heart and Marcel doesn't he did kinda do well for improvising. I don't know I am kinda torn I wasn't sure who I wanted to win I was changing my mind at the last minute.

Ilan should have lost, he worried more about talking bad about Marcel than he did the cooking. Every episode someone had something bad to say about Marcel, and he always took the high road. Ilan reminded me of a 4th grade girl with his bickering and crying. I think that the most consistent talented Chef was Sam, even though he didn't make it to the final 2

Because I wasn't there in person, and because I wasn't able to taste the food myself (or compare with others) I can't say whether or not I believe Marcel should have won. Because Ilan was aimable and "further along" in his career he was chosen. It wasn't because he was likable (because obviously, not everyone liked him.) Part of being a chef is being able to run a kitchen. You're not doing a very good job if you're leaving your food at the store after you've bought it (or anywhere else.) Part of being a chef is making sure your kitchen staff is happy (you'll get the best performance out of them that way.) When it comes down to it, the judges are obviously more equipped to choose who should have won the contest: as they've said on both Top Chefs, they don't care about the behavior in the kitchen. It's about the food. Obviously they felt Ilan was better (even if they didn't like his baby eel.)

sorry chica, Marcel's not fit for the kitchen. I'm glad Ilan won, but really wished it would've been Sam.

Tough question. In terms of originality, Marcel was great. I think the judges took his mistake in the 3rd course too harshly. Elan, I felt, should not have attacked Marcel in his final comments "I cook with my heart - Marcel doesn't". I have no respect for someone who tries to make himself look good at someone else's expense.....

Eels..... Yuck!

He lost for the reason that makes him a terrible chef. You can't do all the cooking yourself and if nobody will work for you that is exactly what you have to do. That is the problem with mad scientists, they tend to work alone.

YOU SHOULDNT OF PUT THAT IN THE TITLE SOME OF US HAVEN"T SEEN IT YET___HEARD OF SPOILER?????

Are you posting this because you have already seen it, because it hasnt played the finale yet?? Perhaps spoiler warning--for people who don't want to know yet would of been good fo you to do even if info has been leaked

Why would you post who won if it hasnt shown yet.

And Marcel needs to stop thinking he is wolverine and fix his hair. Maybe use some of his foam to slick it down
