depends on where you live... where I am, you need a license only if you have four or more children... you also need another person there (employee) if you have seven or more children you are caring for.... with the license and added children you would also have to follow strict guidelines of health and safety codes... I had started to look into it... but then I realized... I have six kids... I would need to be a daycare right from the start...lol.. and I would have to hire someone before I even knew if there was a demand for it.... lol ;)
yes, you can babysit in your home..
if you are looking into starting a daycare of any sort you might want to check into goverment grants... I typed in governmentgrants.com and it popped up a whole list of various grants... or try usagovernmentgrants.org or federalgovernmentgrant.com I haven't checked them out completely.... just flipped thru the pages.... there are tons of sites up that help you research, find and even write the application for them... and from what I saw? daycare grants are over one hundred thousand?
for babysitting I pay ten an hour...... for daycare I think it was one seventy under a year... one fifty under two... one forty under four... one twenty for five yr old... and ninety five for before and after care (for school kids) somewhere around there and there was a different price for preschool and pre-k..... I had a discount for three kids, full rate on one.. twenty percent off on the second and twenty five off on the third... I have no clue what it was per child any more...sorry.. oh one was before aftercare... one was preschool and one prekindergarten (they had teachers) I paid three seventy eight a week at the time.... for six am to six pm....
good luck.... hope this helped out

Well, I babysit from home because I want to be here for mine. There are plenty of people out there who are looking for a private sitter. In Oklahoma daycares charge 15-18 dollars a day so I charge 10.00. I usually have anywhere between 4 and 5 kids because the law states 5 per person. That's 50.00 a day and it helps. Good Luck.

Depends on where you are..and I wouldnt take on more than maybe one or two children. You cant run a day care by yourself you will go crazy. But ask around and see what other pay for a babysitter. Im from Wv and I usually get around $5 an hour to baby sit per child, but my aunt lives in NC and was making $15- $18 and hour per child. So just ask around and dont take on to much.

You actual should not be so hung-up over this example. there are a range of diverse opportunities. many of the mothers and fathers ought to of legitimately forgot some ought to already have a daily babysitter and doubtless were having you as a backup in case babysitter #a million bailed. Or they probably did not see you as a "babysitter" they could decide on to have for his or her baby. you shouldn't be over-questioning this example as a lot as you already are, yet because you've already got..you ought to imagine again to the region once you requested those 7 mothers and fathers. were they already busy doing something, and also you've been purely an added nuisance? or possibly you requested them throughout the time of a clumsy situation, jointly with head to head, it truly is a time the position a lot of people dont have the braveness to inform people "no". probably before, throughout the time of, or once you requested about the babysitting position the mothers and fathers talked about you doing something a tad bit "irresponsible" or, heard extremely available unfaithful gossip about you. Or probably its none my solutions haha purely attempting that ought to help you artwork this one out. Oh, and doubtless its too quickly and, they havent needed a babysitter yet. Haha, now im the only over questioning this one yet solid success with each thing.

There are limits on how many children you can have in your home before needing a license. After 2-3 children you will need to become certified. To become a babysitter it's a good idea to get CPR certified and take babysitting and parenting classes not only for your benefit but for reassuring the parents.
But to be honest I wouldn't hire you because you can't even type/speak correctly. I honestly don't want my children around someone who isn't articulate enough to speak in proper sentences...not like some girl with a weird Ebonics like accent...not trying to be rude but that is how u type.

Yes you can baby sit in your house. You do need a licence depending on how many kids. Also have to have insurance. I have neighbor that charges $150-200 a wk. If all day/night $100 a day.

Sweetie, you shouldn't be babysitting anyone elses children right now. Perhaps you can look into taking some classes at the Adult Education Centers in your community.
In order to run a home child care center you have to go through a lot of classes and paperwork that, from what I read above, you seem not to be prepared for.

I dunno where you live, but here in cali you only need a permet if you have three kids your watching including your kids. They will pay you to watch your own kid. To start off try babysitting for someone you know. I started with my stepsister, I watched her son everyday while she went to work. Heres a very helpful hint. Tell your clients they have to pay for the childcare a week in advance, always. or else you will never get paid.
