I'm 15 and a virgin. This week is the week of my period and lately I have been getting dark brown discharge and little blood....When I wipe, there's little blood and on the pads the blood and discharge is dark. My period didn't skip last month and my period is usually heavy the first three days and it's been three days already.

The first slow blood of each period, and the last spots at the end are both brownish and get mixed up in regular vaginal secretions. If this kind of blood gets wet it turns red again. I think it just takes awhile to find its way out and dehydrates a bit during its journey. Like scabs turn brown when they dry.
Brown is slow and leftover blood, red is current flowing blood.

Your period may change or skip due to athletics ... are you involved in a lot of strenuous sports? When I was a teenager and a serious swimmer I often did not have my period or it only lasted a few days.

The brown discharge is just old blood ... absolutely nothing to worry about.

As a healthcare provider I would say this: An occasional irregularity to a period is normal. However, if a problem persists then it is worth investigating. Periods are easily influenced by a number of things: stress, exercise, ect. Don't sweat it, just roll with it unless it happens repeatedly.

Sometimes this happens to me. You're okay, it's normal don't worry. I always get a brown discharge before, and after my period.
