i live in canada and in winter the backs of my hands become REALLY dry and they become red and itchy when i put moisturizer on them. its only from just below my figers to my wrist. my skin is normal everywhere else. is there anything i can do to make it go away?

soak them in olive oil then scrub them with sugar....rince off and follow with a good moisturizer like Aveeno Foot relief cream with alpha hyrdoxy acid, coco butter or glysomed.

the dermatologist prescribed me "Lipikar"from La Roche-Posay.
It's for the whole body,but helps a lot the hands too.I get such dry hands in winter that they bleed.
you should pay attention too to which kind of soap you use.

Try gold bond ultimate healing. It's specially formulated for dry, cracked, and itchy skin. That should heal it right up.

use a thick cream made for extreme dry hands and in between applying that try using purell sanitizing lotion

Vaseline. It is thee best thing for healing dry irritated skin. Apply it to your hands at night and then wear cotton gloves (manicure gloves) to bed.
