Coz cricket is the most popular game in India, although its national game is cricket. Nobody takes much interest in any other game. Well, atleast, most of them. Instead of asking people to take interest in other sports, why can't cricket be made the national sport of India?

And pleeease star this question, as I want all Indians to think about this.

I would say yes,not because cricket is more popular but the way hockey is played has totally changed over the years. The artistic way of playing has given way to shear brute force and physical stamina. The personal touch is gone and now it is all angles and crosses and the power of short corner hits. In cricket there is still some artistry remaining in the form good spin bowling and swing bowling.Brute force does not prevail here. Even in batting and fielding if the artistic touch is missing it will not be much appreciated.

Considering the popularity cricket got in India as compared to other sports and as India is not doing well in Hocky over the last few years, I strongly feel that Cricket should be made athe National game of India now.
