The answer is in your question. They are poor. They could never afford the real stuff. This is not taking sales away from Coach or Burberry since these people would not be able to buy the real thing anyway.

You say you "feel bad for those companies" meaning the real designers?

Who are we to say that poor people don't have the right to buy designer items, fake or genuine? And are you calling/assuming the people who buy the copies are poor only based on that reason?

Personally, I think it's insane that some of the real designer bags cost several hundreds of dollars ( or even more!).

In fact, the people who buy designer look-a-likes are probably a lot smarter than those who buy the real ones. I know they have to at least be richer by spending much less on a fake (who can really tell, anyway?) allows them the financial freedom to buy much more important things in life like: food, water, clothing, shelter, ... REALLY !

i am not poor at all and i buy both. If i'm carrying a real chanel bag and have fake chanel pearls no one can tell the difference.
DOn't be such a prick....id rather poor people dress stylish with what then can afford then just slum it and buy crappy stuff. It takes effort to find good quality sdtuff for cheap...its easy to shop if you have no budget.

Real coach bags suck anyways so its not just the fake stuff.

Those companies sell stuff which many people can afford, but sometimes prices are ridiculously high. Poor people have to buy fakes because there`s no way they can afford to spend 300 on a scarf. They want to look good I guess, it doesn't bother me.

you are a rude person coach is is not something i would classify as "cheap" $400 for a purse is not a great deal some arent even leather so your daddy buys it all congrats for you everyone applaude but some people have to actually work for stuff yes work i no how terrible right so that is why they buy fake stuff oh and by the way stop judging ppl :(

yes...sometimes it doesn't look so good, actually i think a lot of it is kind of tacky...
but seriously?
coach is not cheap
spending $300 on a bag is not cheap, that's rediculous
yes, it's nice to have one if you can, but for real
think of the people who can't afford to eat.
you could buy 15 good meals for the price of a bag, that you'll only like for a short time

wait until you're making your own money...you won't dare buy bags that expensive when you're having to make your own money and pay your own bills

Sweetie everyone just wants to fit in.

Those people who are buying those fakes - they do it because they want to look like(at least look if not really be) the people who are better off.

Ask yourself - when is the last time you saw someone picked on or ridiculed just because of what they wear. This is what drives people to try and dress or look a certain way in my opinion.

Remember. clothes DONT make a person. You should always get to know someone before passing judgement.

Why do you care? And who are you? The knock off police?
I have a good feeling you don't feel bad for ANYONE, let alone some mega illion daollar company who is laughing ALL the way to the bank thinking "I can't believe those idiots are spending so much on these purses and Scarves...!!!"

I shouldn't be answering this because I've never been able to figure out why in the world rich people buy real designer stuff?

Plastic purses with someone's initials on it??? Tacky, tacky, tacky.

(I think Coach is crummy too, they must use belly leather bc it's so stretchy and the stitching is mediocre. You couldn't give me one - well, you could, but I'd take it back and get the $$)

I think you asking such a question is just ignorant. Give me all the thumbs down you want. However, who are you to judge what people own and don't own. Personally, by your question, you sound like someone who has not lived life with a full sense of direction. Who are you to judge anyone? You are certainly entitled to your opinion, however, your opinion does not help our society in any way. I personally could give a crap of who is carrying what hand bag is in, I give more attention to this war and innocent people dying everyday. Start worrying about more important things then fashion.
