Sometimes I hear people say that they use to be gay, WTF? I don't think you can "use to be gay", You can't just turn on and off your gayness. How can a man be intimate with a man and a girl be intimate with a girl and then wake up one day and say I'm not gay anymore, I'm straight again. This question is more for the men, because some girls just consider that having fun since we are more comfortable with this kind of situation, We can kiss a girl or have a 3 some with a girl and think nothing of it, but when two men lay down together, that's something serious, you cant turn back from that. What do you think? Can a man claim to heterosexual after living a homosexual lifestyle?

It's a question, I don't see anything in my statement bashing or judging anyone, why can't people have a discussion without people pointing fingers saying the someone is judging or being racist?

Certainly. You understand that being with someone of the same sex doesn't taint you for life, right?

Sexual orientation is not a collection of your sexual past, or even your sexual future; it's about who you are attracted to, right now. It has nothing to do with who you sleep with (sexual behavior versus sexual orientation), but again, who you are attracted to.

Most people's sexual orientations are firmly cemented in them, and countless efforts to try and 'convert' gay men to heterosexuality have failed miserably. You're right, you can't just 'turn on and off your gayness'. I myself don't believe sexual orientation to be an inbred, genetic trait that you are born with, but I also don't believe it's just something you can change consciously. I say this because I've know people- men and women both, who find their sexuality shifting- their attraction to one sex wane and they find all of the sudden that they're no longer straight, or no longer gay, much to their dismay. It's rare (very rare), but your sexual orientation can definitely change. Who knows why it does, but it can, and it doesn't matter if you're a man who used to just love guys to death and always had a warm bed every weekend in the past . . . if you don't have sexual attraction towards men anymore, you certainly can't call yourself gay- the only possibility is to be straight.

Hope that's helped you.

P.S.- and remember, people often seem to trivialize lesbian sex, as if it's something fun and light, but it can be just as heavy and life-altering as gay male sex. I wish more people would realize that.

Surly you can be what ever you want to be in life. Having sex with a specific gender is not something you can't change.

My stepdaughter was gay for about 6 years before she decided to become straight. Now she is disgusted by gays and the lifestyle. And she will clearly state that it was her choice to become gay and to change her behavior to become straight.

Many older men will choose to become gay in their latter years after their wife loses interest in sex. They just find that finding other men to have sex with is less work and requires less money than finding women to have sex with.

People change everyday. Why do you judge them for whom they choose to have sex with? Does their choice scare you in any way?
