Eventhough it was in black+white, I thought it was a pretty good movie and WIlliam Holden won the best actor academy award for his role as Sefton. Does anyone else like the movie?

I'm really happy to see that other people like the movie too (I thought I was the only one). And yes, thanks for the recommendation of "Where Eagles Dare".

Yes! This is an excellent movie. It has everything, comedy, drama, death, sex (those crazy Russian chicks), suspense and even romance - when Shapiro and Animal dance to "I Love You" and Animal thinks Shapiro is Betty Grable, PRICELESS!

Oh, you are talking about my fictional boyfriends? I've the biggest crush on Howl from Howl's relocating castle. I like him. He's conceited and horrible but particularly caring and lovely. And sexy. Well he is attractive in my head adequate. I love what he does for Sophie and it just makes me swoon *sigh*. And sensible. And strong. However rather kind of stupid and vulnerable. I like that. My movie crush is particularly my television crush within the type of one Joshua Lyman from The West Wing. Ok if someone instructed me earlier than I began gazing the west wing that i'd be in love with Bradley Whitford i might of died laughing but there you go. I like Josh. He is this sort of massive conceited ********. However then he does something ridiculously candy, mostly to Donna. He goes from undoubtedly exquisite to an absolute idiot in a topic of seconds. I might talk for ages, he is an immensely tricky personality who i love. Oh if only I had been Donna Moss. I simply realised Howl and Josh share some key similarities. Oh pricey god please let my "variety" not be egotistical maniacs. BQ: All time favourite movie? Shouldn't have one. Significantly miserable in reality. I've in no way watched a film that has fully captured me. I've had just a few books get me and a few television suggests. But certainly not a film. I don't feel 2 hours offers me enough time to real fall in love with a film. I have a few that I do love although. LotR I've watched greater than I've learn the books. These movies are ultimate. Little leave out Sunshine, battle membership, Donnie Darko, Bridget Jones, Forrest Gump BQ#2 How am I at present? I'm pretty just right thanks for asking. Started uni vacation trips for every week today :) yay. Spent the day with my boyfriend for the primary time in god knows how long. Went out to dinner, went browsing, failed to work! And my footy group is taking part in the grand ultimate the next day in opposition to the team each person hates (the evil Collingwood)! Up up St Kilda Saints! I will watch it in 3D haha

Peter Graves' actor brother is James Arness. This is a very good film, but Holden should never have beaten out Burt Lancaster, who starred in From Here to Eternity, for best actor that year.

Yeh - I saw it, really good. If you liked it, you might like 'Where Eagles Dare'. Another military/adventure classic based on a good book by the great cliffhanger writer Alistair Maclean (also made the book that became 'Ice Station Zero'). A little trashier than Stalag - but great fun.

Great movie! Especially when Holden figures out how Schultz and Security are "communicating" with each other.

BTW space0505: you and I both know that Graves' brother is James Arness of Gunsmoke. Correct?

Great movie, Holden is great, so are Harvey Lembeck and Robert Strauss as the comedic inmates. Billy Wilder is a genius.
