My puppy chills on my bed with me sometimes, and she had a bit of an "accident" in the sense of she was stareing right at me, and now there's a nice big urin stain on the comforter. Somehow I don't think throwing it in the washing machine is a good idea, so how do i clean it?

Thanks much.

My parents came from Europe, so we raised gueese and made featherticks from the down pulled from the geese.

You can just take it and wash it out with a bar soap and water and spot wash it and spot rinse it good, then dry over a chair and over a heater vent. . You will never hurt the feathers with water and soap. Remember, they came off of a bird and saw lots of water.

To wash the entire feathertick. open a hole and remove the feathers. Then dump them into a soapy galvanized wash tub and wash and rinse them out good. Do this on a sunny windless day. Then put them in the sun on a bedsheet to dry spread out . When dry, reload the feathertick and sew up the closing.

Take it to the dry cleaners or check the care label on it, depending on the size and your washer, you might be able to use that.
