The 1921 dime; if it was absolutely the most common silver dime ever, like the 1963 or 1964, it would be worth 80 cents. Throw that out the window! You are talking about a 1921 Mercury Dime; an authentic, worn flat example it is worth $10. I would be happy to give you $15 sight-unseen.
The 1916-D, 1921, and 1921-D are the key date coins of the Mercury Dime series. In other words, after you have collected all the affordable, common coins of the series, you have to ante up the real dollars to aquire the 1916-D, 1921, and 1921-D dimes. Great, gorgeous set!

The 1921 Winged Liberty Head (Mercury) dime is a semi-key coin. In grade good it has a value of $33.50 and in grade fine $90.00. The 1921-D is even more valuable. The mint mark is located on the reverse next to the E in one, if there is any. The D in good $47.00 to $150.00 in grade fine. The values quoted here are about what a coin dealer would pay.Your coin needs to be graded, so take it to a coin dealer or coin club for help.

Some are but it would have to be seen by a coin dealer to tell really. They are listed in the yellow pages, usually under coin dealers or numismatics and they do not charge to look at your item.
good luck
