The tourists are wearing shorts because most of them come from cold places and they think that the weather here is warm ( and it is compared to Minnesota, New Hampshire, etc)

The locals are wearing jeans and shirts both long and short sleeves. The evenings get cold. Wear a coat or a sweatshirt.

Gooduck, hope you win.

If you've never been to Vegas in the winter it might surprise you to learn it is not hot. According to accuweather it will be in the 50s during the day and in the 30s at night. Be sure to take a jacket.

It depend on where you're going what to wear. Jeans are fine most places. If you are going to a night club or fine restaurant you might want something a bit dressier.

Clothes I guess. I heard that one new years ewe there was snow falling but that seems to be exceptions. One adwice is to get to a weather site and browse to the las vegas area. Some might even get all round weather statistics. Johan

Pack comfy, but attractive shoes that are good for walking. Maybe even buy extra insoles. when i went, i did a ton of walking on the strip and my feet were killing me.
it usually gets kind of cool at night, bring a lite jacket, jeans, etc.
