can he run? that is what makes the Urlacher such a great linebacker. 280 lbs is a bit much for someone wanting to be an Urlacher. Urlacher is only 258lbs, and that extra 40 lbs makes a HUGE difference in speed. Zach Thomas purposely lost 30 lbs to get faster.
6'4" is about the average height for the linebacker position. in 2006 the average height for a linebacker was exactly 6'4 1/8"
they started keeping track only because height has become a very important for drafting players now that WRs are getting taller

6-4" is a reasonable size. The average height in the U.S. is 5-10". However, if he is 280lbs, he better be shredded to be a linebacker. He sounds more like a D-lineman.

At that size he is to big and slow for a LB and to small for DL, he is a tweener. He better be quick and a pass rushing specialist. There are a lot of this type drafted but very few make it

Height doesn't really matter in the NFL, but it helps. Plus, 280 is probably a little big for a MLB. Maybe OLB or DE, but not MLB.
Urlacher is 6'4", 258 lbs.

Yes ... everyone knows that the most perfect and sexy height for a man is 5' 7" (coincidently that's how tall I am), so 6-4 is total glandular freakshow.

For regular people that is tall, but especially football players, only slightly above average.
