Place 2 over 1000 and x over 3500
2/1000 = x/3500
solve for x by multiplying both sides by 3500
2(3500)/1000 = x
7000/1000 = x
x = 7 Hours

How much bigger, ratio wise, is 3500 to 1000?
To convert up, do 3500 / 1000.
That tells you that 3500 is (blank) times bigger than 1000.
So, if it took you 2 hours to do 1000 sq ft, it will take 2 hours times (blank) to do 3500 square feet.
