Pretty much certainly.

Unless the US implements significant austerity measures after the Bush presidency, the US dollar will start to experience independent inflation as early as 2012-2016. Unless the next administration strongly controls for the war, the military budget in general and the benefits of social security (reducing/restricting expendatures in both by at least 30%) , the later 1/2 of the "Baby Boomers" will not see their anything more than about 1/5 of the social security benefits of their older peers.

Many retirement firms/401ks etc, are already anticipating and basically expecting and planning for the collapse of Social Security by about 2030 because they just don't think politicians will do the job, suggesting that investors plan accordingly.

Furthermore, without at least a couple of decades of surpluses , the US economy will suffer inflation from having to "pay" the debt by devaluing the currency basically by cutting the "trillion dollar check" and then "paying" the debt, we increase the amount of cash in the marketplace and cause the currency to become less valuable.

Since Republicans (in particular) believe strongly in Keynesian Economics which simply has no mechanism for dealing with deficits effectively without ultimately endangering the currency system itself, watching them spend money we simply don't have should give pause to every taxpayer and citizen.

tomarrow will never get here~it is the same day over and over~big brother and the think tanks can keep the persistent presents on the agenda til hell freezes over and they still want more money for the job they do, it isn't the world we want but it is the pay check their after and as long as they can save you from your self their going to help you even if it means leaving you alone to pay for their needs, they always show us the tip of the iceberg and then give us a quote on the cost involved in depressing us puppets

Let's hope not...but live like there will be. My parents were Depression kids and I heard lots of depressing stories how it affected people's spirit. He said once..."You NEVER want to see the likes of that again." I have read lots of books by authors on the lives of people. Wm. Saroyan wrote a lot about it and of course we all know the Grapes of Wrath story and of Mice and Men. The lesson my dad taught me was to depend on yourself only. I have and it has served me well.
