Standard form: Ax + By = C.

y = 1/2x + 2

Multiply both sides by 2.
2y = 1x + 4

Subtract 1x from both sides.
2y - 1x = 4
or
-1x + 2y = 4

y= 1/2x+2
(y=1/2x+2)2 multiply the equation by two to avoid working
with fractions
2y=1x+4
-4 -4 transpose 4 to the other side
2y-4=x
-2y -2y tanspose 2y to the other side
-4=-2y+x and there's the standard form of the equation y=1/2x+2
