I do love the Eagles and I do love Don Henley...they broke up in a furious way and said they would get back together when "hell freezes over"...sure enough, they went on tour later on...now Henley says they're releasing another album in 30-90 days "if they don't kill each other first"....how do you feel about these older groups simply retiring in dignity and letting the new groups get their time under the sun...??

Because older music is getting a lot of popularity with younger audiences mainly due to the fact that a lot of the new music isn't very good. I'll wear a t-shirt of an older band and see kids comment on how much they love that band i also see teens running around with Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd and Iron Maiden shirts all the time.

The only way these bands will stop is when people stop buying their music.

Actually the "Eagles" have been back together for a few years since that 25 year breakup.. They even have a dvd farewell tour 1 out since 2004..and they have been touring Europe, ect and even done an album called "Hell freezes over' in 1994. So this isn't something that has happened over night..I love the "Eagles" and as long as they are still selling tickets and having sell out crowds than I say keep going. As for them retiring in dignity and letting the new groups get their time in the sun, I say to that--If the new bands had as much talent as the older bands they would not be concerned about the older bands but I bet the "Eagles" have a more differse age audience than the newer groups because all ages still love this group.. I my self am looking forward to this new album.

I think if I was in a band that hadn't had a hit in years I would rather blow my brains out than perform the same songs over and over. I say retire.

If there's a demand for it then it will sell. If not, then it won't sell. I don't have any problem with them making an album. I don't think it takes the place of any new groups.
