You don't need a state license to own a gun in Ohio. The minimum age for possession without supervision is 18 for long guns, 21 for handguns. There are municipalities with restrictions on utilitarian firearms, but those are supposed to disappear in March.

If you are looking for a Concealed Handgun License, you need to be 21.

Varies via state. In Indiana you're able to purchase a handgun and get a license to hold it at age 18. you in basic terms won't be able to purchase a handgun from an FFL broker until you're 21. touch your state police for clarification of the applying standards.
