You will still have a period if your tubes are tied. The cost varies by state and which procedure you have done. There are a couple different ways to tie someones tubes. Check with your gyno and see if they can tell you how much it will run.

I am a healthcare provider and the truth is this: Getting your tubes tied does NOT stop your periods. Your fallopian tubes have little to do with menstrual flow. As to cost, it will depend on the doctor and the hospital. Getting your tubes tied is surgery which requires an operating room, anesthesia, etc. So its more expensive than a vasectomy which is done on men. For men, some doctors do vasectomies in thier office or in the ER of a hospital and it requires no anesthesia.

Nope. I know this because my mom got her tubes tied after my little brother was born in 1993. She's been been having regular periods since, she just can't have any more children (thank god).

No, getting your tubes tied has nothing to do with your period. When you have a period it is the shedding of the inner layer of your uterus (stratum functionalsis). When your tubes get tied they are cutting, buring, or banding your fallopian tubes. They carry the eggs to the uterus. As for how much a tubal ligations cost I have no idea. I guess you would have to talk to the insurance company and the place where you are having it done

I'm not sure how much it costs. I guess it depends where you go. But I know you don't get your period once your tubes are tied, because my mom had it done.
