I remember years ago reading a book called "Small is Beautiful" in which the author made a remark that there's enough in our world to satisfy humanity's needs but not enough to satisfy greed." As I get older I increasingly see the truth of these words. There's a lot on Politics of Food...for example IMF and World Bank putting the pressure on smaller nations to adopt policies that cater to the profit maximization needs of Agri Businesses and using agricultural land for export products instead of real food needs of communities.

Also, billions of dollars are spent on non-productive militarism instead of making it a better world by trying to eliminate poverty. I know you'd think I'm crazy but I challenge you to look into the politics of food and you'll see that there's a kind of corporate conspiracy to avoid the real issues and keep people ignorant.

Hunger is not caused by a shortage of food. It is caused by mismanagement, politics and greed. In one place grain silos sit full year after year while a few thousand miles away people starve.

Lots of people are starving because their governments don't seem to care.
