How do I bring a dog back to life on the Sims 2?

I have The Sims 2. I have The Sims 2 University, Night Life, and Pets. I was playing and I noticed one of my sims wants. he wanted to bring his dead dog back to life. It said to do so I had to call the Grim Reaper from the
Resurrect-O-Nomitron. What is this and how do I use it? I want to bring the dog back to life but I don't know how. Please help!

Your dog has to have a grave. You should be able to resurrect from the grave.
