well during prohibition booze was ban and booze being a necessity to some men made it easy for men like Al capone to gain wealth by it. Read the great gatsby it will help. Okay my train got derailed where was i. Oh and therefore more men saw booze as a business that left money and people fought for control like the italian mobs in chicago and organized crime happened. St. valentines day massacre in 1929.

The prohibition lasted 13 years and during this time alcohol was in great demand. Organized crime got involved because it was a good way to make a lot of money. They supplied the booze to customers and had their own territory (like drug dealers today). This led to mob wars and the St. Valentine's Day massacre.

Organized crime always does business where they can make the most money!! When booze became illegal the demand became greater so people would pay more for the booze to get it in the black market!! Therefore the crime people made a fortune during prohibition time!!

People like alcohol.

People couldn't get alcohol.

Criminal gangs saw that they could make lots of money from supplying people with alcohol.

Criminal gangs began to supply people with alcohol illegally.

Criminal gangs generally involve more than one type of crime, i.e. they would have been supplying alcohol, owning firearms illegally, killing people/police officers etc.

People could not buy their whiskey & beer legally. So people bootlegged it and it was run by organized crime!!!

pigs started gangin up on folk and the folk ganged up to fight back polices and such think they big shots but they just the mans do boys they is the part of the problem
