I think it is, but I also can say that I feel kind of disappointed if my co-workers and friends get flowers, candy, etc. and I get nothing. I have always told my hubby to just take me to dinner if he felt like he needed to do something for me on Valentine's day, b/c flowers will die, candy isn't good for my teeth, and eating keeps me alive! He likes this idea. Just curious what the rest of the world is thinking!

I'm goin' with the crowd on this one. All holidays are becoming
"Hallmark" holidays. Businesses guilt us all by making us think we are cheap if we don't pay a small fortune for silly little cards and gross candy. The same for the jewelry stores and the jewelry they push on us. Anything for our money.

i do not imagine that Valentines day is barely for women. i imagine that each and each adult adult males and women ought to substitute gives you on that day. also, why call it electronics day? Valentine's day isn't pronounced as candies in a field the style of a heart day, so your little vacation should not be pronounced as Electronics day.

Yes, its created for Hallmark to make money. Otherwise, there is no need to buy your special someone something on Feb 14th.

Yes!!! It sucks that people that celebrate only think to get something for their significant others. Why can't they say and show just how much they love one another every single day? So they wait until FEB. 14th...
