It is always wrong to lie. How do you feel when you are lied to? If you chose to not reveal your thoughts then maybe a " I would rather not answer that" or " not my business" or even a " no comment" would be better than lying to them. And if confrontation is what you are worried about, Ask yourself "is this going to come up again with this same person?" If yes then telling them a lie will only make it worse. If no then don't answer them. What are they going to do? Eat you? I have a personal mantra maybe you can use...... Just for today I will be true to me .

Well, lie is a lie....it is a wrong thing to lie...but if telling a lie, doesn't harm anyone and doesn't affect you and protects your integrity or personal secrets, then you can. Moreover it is up to you to decide when to use this technique. Analyze what would be the repercussions of telling a lie. Even if a single person is harmed because of you telling a lie, then refrain from lying. If lying brings a positive effect and is in harmony with everyone(including you) then you can lie. To sum up I'd say, use this technique in a careful and a positive way!

Why lie? If you don't want to talk about your private business just say so. It is better than getting caught up in a lie later on. You can be polite about it or you can be blunt, it doesn't matter because nobody has the right to ask about your private affairs. They are being rude in the first place.

this is a direct oversight~they nag at things like what is missing in this question and answer that makes it impossible to unravel the very need to understand that which is private and personal, so what can be an out come with the meaning removed~body of evidence is necessary for conclusion here? >i would ask a question but it conflict with my privacy<

It would depend on certain things, like, Do you like being trusted? Do I like it, when others lie to me? Are people going to respect me, if I show that I have double standards?
Consider also, Real freinds will certainly care if you lie to them. But, your fake freinds don't really care about respectful principles. It revolves on how you want people to see you. But, Like most folks, if you don't care if you lie, then I guess you shouldn't ever exspect to be truly trusted, because, you won't be.

It will be embarrassing further if the truth comes out.
You can just laugh and make some comments when you were asked about something you don't want to reveal.

Can't you just say you would rather not say? No lying needed.
You don't have to tell everyone everything you know.
You are entitled to say:
No Comment. Its Private. My Business.
