Black Gold - A documentary about the price of coffee.

Commanding Heights: The Battle for the World Economy - Documentary about the planet's economy.

Roger & Me - A Michael Moore examination of what happened between General Motors and the town of Flint, MIchigan.

Sneakers, basically it's about a computing device used to break into all manner of computers. Banks, Federal Reserve etc.

There's a wonderful little scene with the two main characters going on about what they've been doing for the last few years.

C : "Posit : You believe a bank is financially shaky."
M : "Consequence : People begin to withdrawl their money and sooner or later it IS financially shaky....Perception becomes reality....."
C : Think Bigger...

M : Stock Markets?
C : Yes.
M : Currency Markets?
C : Yes
M : Small Countries?
C : Smiles and pauses.... you know you and I were going to change the world....
And it kinda snowballs from there, it's a wonderful little conversation, but only indirectly related.

Wall Street - deals in the betrayals and convoluted economic deal similar to what we saw in the 80's where companies would get bought up, all the employees fired and then sell the company again at a profit.

Books on the subject -
The end of Oil and/or
The Prize
The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers, Paul Kennedy

Warren Beatty's "Reds". that is suitable to the upward push of Communism with a love triangle thrown in. a protracted movie, broken up with interviews of unquestionably contemporaries of the main considerable gamers. Then there is Alec Guiness in "the guy interior the White fit". This guy invents this "indestructable" fiber and could become the objective of all the fabric-barons who see it as plausible to their corporation interests. "The formulation" with Brando (?) is composed of a formulation for low-cost gas which, of direction, in no way sees the mild of day. i think of there develop into an lively movie consistent with George Orwell's "Animal Farm", too. that is an anti-communist/socialist-themed movie. Economics is a factor of maximum each little thing. there is assorted character motivation to be found ("...Greed is nice.", Gordon Gecko from "Wall highway"....).
