No! I'm actually in the business, and as near as I can tell Vista is just a patch fix for XP, with a glitzy interface. Many video cards will not be able to handle the GUI, so many folks won't be able to use it.
The 2 home editions only offer 1 of the 8 security improvements, according to PCmag and Techrepublic online reviews (Unless you want to pay $400.00). The only other thing it had going for it was IE7, which is currently available for XP for free.
I have purchased every version of Windows since 2.0 (really). None of them has ever worked properly.
My 2 main home systems and my laptop will continue running XP, my server uses Samba, and Ubuntu.
I'm just tired of MS silliness

nope, mine's all ready for that..i knew that when i bought it but i will wait until they get vista trouble free before or if i decide to upgrade
