If the US gets bombed by another terror attack prior to next years election, is it true that the war measures act gives Bush the right to suspend the elections?

Either thought is scary in and of itself, but together, this scares the hell out of me.

Yes, Bush can suspend the elections. I think that is precisely what he intends to do. God help us if he does.

They have buried most of those reports pretty deep .... I don't have a link but if I were you I would start in a CBC archive search and then move on to the national archives in Ottawa (some of their stuff is online)

Yes this can happen.....Odds are that there would be no election...... See WWII History , FDR
