Sure if he is going to be a city in England.

Seriously, if you are going to call him Devon, then just name him Devon because if he is called Devonshire in school by the teachers, and this won't be your choice, you might as well just have "kick me" embroidered on the back of all his clothing.

I would consider it cool. Devon was ranked 191 in the year 2005, but Devonshire hasn't been in the top 1000 for the past 25 years.

Why don't you break his legs so he can startt out with two handicaps. Devonsire is a place name. Not a name for a human being. If you want to call him Devon then for gracious sakes name him Devon. I guarantee he will hate the name Devonshire and so will his mates. The little bugger will go through hell with such a moniker. Fer Crissakes, use your head and name him a real name.

If you must have an unique name then call him queball or percy, longiene, or herkimer. All are odious but all are unique. LOL

Devon is cute. Not to sure about Devonshire...It sounds like the name of a food product. Like Hillshire Farms...

Devon is fine - Devonshire makes me think of scones with jam and cream and a cup of tea (devonshire tea - English morning/afternoon snack) !!

I think you should just name him Devon. Devonshire sounds like trouble.

go with devon not devonshire. you have to keep in mind that when this poor child hits kindergarten he has to spell his name. I love Devon. Since you would call him that why not just go with it. Devon Michael (last name)
