Ah yes, Tijuana...... I was a boot Marine from Camp Pendelton heading to another scenic part of the world in short order and we all wanted to visit lovely Tijuana. It was 1969 and the town was a toilet and my only regret is that I remember very little of what we did or saw.... I guess that's what makes it so great!

I don´t know that it makes Tijuana great, but it does offer,

Excellent Weather,
Inexpensive Housing,
Inexpensive Health Care,
Inexpensive Prescription Drugs,
Excellent Street Tacos,
Bull Fighting (if your into it),
Several nice shopping areas (None on Revolution),
Drinking No DUIs,
Cuban Cigars,
Red Light District,
Some Nice Clubs (Not in Red Light District),
Bars always open,
Gambling,
Food without all the hormones,
Apple Soda (if US has this I´ve never seen it),
Fruit waters and rice waters,
Fresh tortillas,
Sweet breads,
Doctor´s offices that stay open till 10pm,
and I think you can get a shot of Tequila.

I am sure I missed something...

PS I know Tijuana isn´t perfect but that wasn´t the question.

Who said it's great?!? It's not great...in fact, it's very, very, very NOT great. Tijuana is a $hithole...a total dump! The bars serve watered-down pissbeer, the clubs all suck, the traffic is insane, the streets are dangerous, and to add to the "charm" of the place, expect regular shakedowns from the police (if you can even call them that).
