I know her biological Mom was rumored to have AIDS, but Zahara was supposedly tested twice and was free of the virus....

No, although she was ill with other medical conditions. Angelina saw her to a Doctor and she was treated and is healthy. There are many children in the orphanages with HiV/AIDS though.
