I am not a big American Idol watcher. I usually just catch bits and pieces. But my Mom is a big fan, but we are still arguing about who was on what show.
Was both Carrie Underwood and Tayler Hicks winners? Or did Carrie Underwood win over Talyer on the same show? My Mom says they were on the same show and that Carrie won. I say that it was two different years, and they both won. Who is right?

Yes, they were both winners. Carrie won season 4 and Taylor won season 5. I LOVE American Idol! I think both Carrie and Taylor are talented! My favorite song by Carrie is "Jesus Take the Wheel" and by Taylor "Do I Make You Proud". Hope I could help. :-)

You are right...Carrie won season 4 Taylor won season 5...the only other people I can remember are the bald dude named Chris who was a rocker and of course, Katherine McPhe who came in 2nd from Taylor....

those were two different years. Carrie was going against bo bice and tayler went agains katherine mcphee. Carrie won first and the next season was w/ taylor.
