Ranking right up there with the best of them would have to be the 1960 Pirates foursome of Bill Mazeroski, 2B (noted as probably the best ever at 2B), Former gold glover Dick Groat at SS, the outstanding defensive CF, Bill Virdon and the highly underrated duo of Smokey Burgess and Hal Smith behind the plate. They were definitely one reason the 60 Bucs went on to win the World Series.

'03 Marlins. C- Pudge Rodriguez, argueably the best catcher to play the game. Alex Gonzalex and Luis Castillo, not much with the bats, but the quickest and best defensive middle infield in the game. CF- Juan Pierre, again, not much with the bat or arm, but with that kind of speed not much is falling in the outfield. Also, his base stealing ability...i believe it was '03 that he led the MLB by almost double the second place persons #'s?
....And the result of such good players...A World Series title over the New York Yankees.

The Indians of the early 2000's surely had one of the best ever with Sandy Alomar at catcher, Omar Vizquel at SS, Robbie Alomar at 2nd and Kenny Lofton in CF. Throw in a gold glove winner in Travis Fryman at 3rd and almost nothing made it out of the infield.

i will only think of of Michael laudrup and Xabi Alonos. P.S Pirlo and Xavi are categories of gamers. Pirlo is an attacking and CM whearas Xavi is a CM and might additionally play as protecting midfielder. Pirlo grew to become into meant to play as attacking midfielder yet because of the fact of Kaka and Rui Costa he grew to become into forced to play as CDM. Seedorf grew to become into stable too.
